A staple dish in Thailand which you can make at home!

I used to order basil fried rice for take out all the time. I figured out the right ratio for the seasoning. This is it!
材料
- cooked Jasmine rice 500 g
- ground pork or chicken 200 g
- shallot (sliced) 1 large
- red bell pepper (medium diced) 1/2 medium
- snoe peas (angled) 1/2 cup
- garlic (minced) 3 cloves
- crushed red pepper 1/4 teaspoon or more to taste
- fresh Thai basil or basil (roughly chopped) 1 cup
- canola oil 2 tablespoons
- For the seasoning:
- fish sauce 2 tablespoons
- oyster sauce 2 teaspoons
- Chinese dark soy sauce 2 teaspoons
- coconut palm sugar 1 teaspoon
- ground white pepper to taste
- sea salt to taste

Gather all the ingredients.

If the leftover rice is cold, nuke it well.

In a small bowl, combine all the seasoning (ex: salt/pepper)

Oil in a wok over medium high heat. Add chili and garlic.

Cook until garlic turns golden, then add pork.

Break up the pork and cook until meat gets brown.

Add shallots, pepper and peas, cook until wilted.

Add warm rice and stir until everything is combined.

Stir in seasoning mix.

Add basil and mix once more.

Taste, add salt and pepper as needed. Serve!
